Florida Stone Crab claws are Florida's greatest seafood delicacy. Stone crabs are trapped of the shores of the Florida Keys, the southern tip of Florida, and the southem portion of the West Coast of Florida in 60-80 foot depths. Only a claw with a forearm no less that 2 3/4 inches long can be taken and the crab is returned to the water to regenerate replacement. The Florida Stone Crab season runs from October 15th thru May 15th.

Monty's serves Jonah Stone Crab claws from May 16th thru October 14th. These crabs are harvested off the New England coastline. The Jonah crab has a vegetarian diet and is considered to be both low in cholesterol and calories. Their flavor has been compared to lobster or dungeness crab of the North Pacific. Stone crab claws are best served cold with our creamy mustard sauce or with hot melted butter. Monty's excellent reputation stems from the greatest care taken to consistently provide the finest, freshest stone crabs available anywhere, all year long.
